Ashley Groesbeck, LCSW

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has practiced for over ten years in New York City. My training emphasizes a holistic approach that considers all aspects of my clients’ lives - physical health, mental health, and social factors - and how they interact to affect each person’s own experiences. I believe it is also important to consider people’s life experiences, current relationships, and life and family history. I have an open, curious and empathic approach. Therapy should be a safe place to explore your authentic self, share your goals and hopes, and explore the experiences and feeling that cause distress. My goal is to provide you with an open hearted experience where you can gain the confidence to pursue your dreams, heal from trauma, or gain insight and skills to better your relationships and career. Ashley holds a Bachelors of Arts from Mary Washington College and a Master of Social Work from New York University. She is an adjunct lecturer for CUNY Hunter, teaching courses on clinical social work and trauma with a focus on children and families.
